Common questions

Where do I download Vox?
Vox is available for macOS. Download the latest version from the releases page and install it like any other macOS app. After installation, you will need to grant Accessibility permission in System Settings.
Why does Vox need Accessibility permission?
Vox uses the macOS Accessibility API to paste transcribed text at your cursor position — the same mechanism used by clipboard managers and automation tools. The app does not read the screen content of other applications.
What counts toward my monthly quota?
Quota is measured in minutes of processed audio. Only audio that is sent to the server for transcription counts. Sessions under one second are not counted. The quota resets at the start of each calendar month.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel at any time from Account Center > Subscription. Your plan will remain active through the end of the current billing period. No further charges will be made after cancellation.
Can I get a refund?
Please see our Refund Policy for details. In general, we offer a pro-rated refund within 7 days of the start of a new billing period if the service is not working as expected. Refund Policy
